Given a very limted timeframe to execute the task most of competitors were chosen based on publications at https://bitcointalk.org
and articles mentioned on ICORating website.
Main criteria to put a company as a competitor was publishing by them a list of present/future ICOs and at least some brief ratings for each of them.
As it was stated during an inital telephone interview with HR representative of ICORating, main objective for a Head of Digital Marketing will be to increase a subscriber's base of a private and institutional investors for ICOratings reports and ratings.
Therefore even if a business model of potential competitors may vary all of them compete for an attention of investors.
I split all competitors into 3 groups:
+Well established entities with business model similar to ICORatings
+Well established entities with different business model to ICORating
+All others who do not fit into first two categories but who worth to look at
